The S8, with a power output of 382 kW (520 hp), is the large sports sedan from Audi. Its sonorous 4.0 TFSI accelerates the S8 from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 4.1 seconds. The COD (cylinder on demand) system plays a major role here, too. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) sends precise phase-cancellation noise into the interior over the sound system’s speakers to compensate for noise generated in the cabin when running on four cylinders.
